Happy New Year!

We were practicing "cheers" with our cups today in honor of the holiday, but each attempt just resulted in us switching...

We did however master raising our cups for a toast...

So here are our wishes for a wonderful New Years and the best in 2010. We know ours will be pretty exciting!!! Much love, ME

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,
We wanted to write you a letter following our visit on Friday to apologize for our behavior. We are sorry that one of us screamed loudly in your ear while one of us pulled your beard. We really have been good girls this past year (ask our Papa and Mama) and are looking forward to your first visit to our house. Please know we very much appreciated your willingness to hold us both at the same time and we hope next year when we visit you again we will share smiles instead. Safe travels!
Love, ME

P.S. Being our time on your lap was brief, we are not sure you were able to see what our shirts said (All Mommy wants for Christmas is a Silent Night). We think Mama had us wear these so she could secretly share this wish with you. We actually aren't too loud but still really enjoy sharing Papa and Mama's bed. Maybe you can help us out?

Happy 11-months to ME!

We are in the middle of the wonderful holiday season and very much looking forward to ME's first Christmas. Our trees have always been sparsely decorated on the bottom due to the 2 cats but this year we have a very definitive line where decorations end due to the addition of 2 more sets of extremities!

ME is now pulling up at everything, transitioning between 2 stable objects placed close together, and beginning some cruising. Mama should know that in order to encourage walking we need to be barefoot or wear very flexible shoes, but she just couldn't resist buying these boots...how cute are these?!?! Besides, fashion is not always practical!

ME loves to display affection to each other and for the most part are great pals, even though we definitely have our moments and will be forced to learn early sharing!

The cold tundra air has arrived in MN so we are forced to go indoors for some swimming fun. We had our first chance with Papa along recently and had a great time!
Constant babble fills our home, including a lot of "hi" and "bye", and we really enjoy pretending to talk on the phone (we would prefer the real ones but get forced to use these play ones)!
We leave you with...
Madelaine the Mischevious
and Eleanor the Einstein
Hope all are enjoying the holiday season thus far!
Love, ME

Our Thanksgiving adventure!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving ME! Although we have much to be thankful for every day of the year, Thanksgiving day was extra special this year being it was our first with our little munchkins!
Madelaine awoke Thursday morning with a low grade fever and runny nose which progressed throughout the day...poor thing.
Being our 2nd celebration brought us into Rochester, we decided it made the most sense to make a stop at the ER versus come home and have to bring her back during the wee morning hours. So, ME got to experience their first trip to the ER and ate their 2nd turkey dinner of the day while sitting on the hospital bed.
Hey, this isn't too bad of place (note, this was pre-doctor examination and tests).

I don't get to watch movies at home yet...this is kind of fun!
Post-examination...need I say much more.

Yeah, we can go home now!
Thankfully it turned out to be just a viral illness and by Monday she was back to her normal spunky personality. However, you can probably guess who just came down with the same symptoms this week.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to celebrate with family and friends!
Love, ME
