Papa and his little ladies!

Let us first flashback to Father's Day 2009...
Oh how simple, or shall we say boring, life was when we just sat still! These days trying to make us sit still results in this (especially when we are outdoors)...
But oh how those tears quickly disappear when Papa makes us fly...
This is just one of the many games we love to play with Papa and in general we just can't get enough of his silliness! We (and Mama too) are thankful for having such a great Papa! Happy Father's Day to all! Love, ME

Eat ME dust!

So we are not quite sure of the occasion but two very exciting packages arrived by UPS last week from Uncle Geoff (who lives in Atlanta). We are not at all complaining because they are fun, fun! We think he must have sent them well ahead of his next return home so we have extra practice driving and will maybe be better able to follow him on his ATV.
The pre-power photo shoot...

We are not sure who was more excited for us to try these being Papa could hardly wait for us to finish breakfast the next morning! As you will hear, Mama could hardly contain her laughter! And as you will see, our bike helmets (which we haven't been too good about wearing in the bike trailer) will definitely get some use when we are driving outdoors!

Thanks Uncle Geoff (Papa and Mama say thanks too!!!)!

Happy 17-months to ME!

How about we start with a game of guess-who...who do you think likes thunderstorms and who do you think does not???

One of our new adventures has been enjoying bike rides...
and we also have been taking every opportunity available to eat outside (we love, love the outdoors!)...

This location for eating is a plus for Mama being it means easy clean-up in regards to the floor, but one of us misses helping Mama with her after-dinner clean up... After our busy days, a bath before bedtime is a must. Who can resist a clean baby with this sweet face...
In general, though, Papa and Mama are wondering where their little babies have gone being we are looking older and older each day...
One last thing to note before we go. We are quite the chatter boxes around the house and thought we better list our most commonly used words (some only understandable by Papa and Mama but we are still are good at getting our points across!): Mama, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, no, yes, stop, go, dirty, clean, potty (pee pee and poopie), cat, kitty, dog, puppy, bird, bee, horse, cow, bear, fish, flower, ball, hot, candle, trike, train, baby/doll, thank you, more, thirsty, drink, cookie, banana, strawberry, blueberry, water, juice, milk, bottle, cup, spoon, bowl, cheese, sit, up, run, belly, eyes, nose, teeth, arm, back, knee, elbow, hand, one, two...and the frequently used MINE.

One lucky Mama of Two!

The pre-(we really need a) nap photo attempt...
The post-(still waking up) nap photo attempt...
Trying to capture a photo or write in words for how blessed I feel to be the lucky Mama to Madelaine and Eleanor...impossible. Thanks girls! Love you bunches!

Also hoping all the wonderful mothers I have been blessed to have in my life had a special day as well.

Happy 16-months to ME!

Presenting Ballerina Madelaine...
and Ballerina Eleanor.
Some new found toys which we are enjoying include trying to jump on our mini bouncy castle (not even completely inflated yet)...

and bouncing on our toy ponys. We think jumping is in our near future!
We also are working on learning signs for zoo animals and right now know zebra, gorilla and seal. We for the most part always use more, please, and thank-you when requesting things (some prompting needed at times) and are working on sharing (haha!).
High-Fives!

Adventures in Toyland!

This past weekend took us on a day trip to LARK Toys in Kellogg, MN, where we had great fun (for the most part) and we highly recommend it to others (http://www.larktoys.com/).

Eleanor had fun whipping up some creations in the kitchen
but decided the apple was the healthiest choice.
Madelaine, as you can imagine, gravitated to the babies and found a favorite to hold.

One of the main attractions is the hand-carved carousel and we can say you have a 50/50 chance of liking it. Madelaine enjoyed...

Eleanor did not.

At least we all ended on a happy note!
