Rainy Day Photo Fun!
Being we have experienced basically 3 days of cold, rainy weather (fall-like really), ME thought it would be fun to shoot a few photos while trying on their new bows we got yesterday while shopping. Do you think they like wearing them???

Happy 7-month Birthday to ME!!!
Where did the last month go?!?! While Papa works on his latest and greatest story to post, ME thought I should at least update everyone with a few pictures so you know what they have been up to. Here are just a few highlights...

Enjoying our first baseball game
Our first time in a baby pool

Enjoying vegetables (we also are eating fruit and thus far like just about everything)

Riding to the cabin in our big-girl car seats...which must be pretty comfy being we are asleep

Pirates of the Crib-beings
The past 150 days of ME lives, arr, matey, have been filled with grand water adventures. Recently we’ve been reading about pirates and their great adventures, traveling far and wide on open seas and risking life and limb in search of treasures. Well, this got ME thinking about how much this reminded them of their own lives, so they thought that a little storytelling was in order so our faithful readers could have as much fun as ME have had reading their books! So let’s cast off…
ME’s 1st adventure took them to the Fountain of Youth, who knows where (the location cannot be found on any map!). What ME remember is a grand fountain shaped like a big bowl and a person of the cloth-order splashing water over their heads and saying some unintelligible garble (and you thought baby talk was hard to understand!). ME think it was the majestic waters of the Fountain of Youth (why else would all the old people be there!), but, to spoil ME’s flights of fancy, the salty sea biscuits Mom and Dad, aka Mad, say otherwise. According to Mad, ME’s Fountain of Youth moment was the auspicious day of their baptism, so now ME are Baptized Pirates of the Lutheran Church (come on, as per ME’s demands, you have to understand that there needed to be a compromise on what to call their adventure!). Anyhow, the day was a happy one with family and friends attending the baptism and celebrating at the Gore household after the event. Enough land lubbin’, anchors away for more sea adventures…

ME’s next adventure took them to, once again, who knows where, and ME believe they met the Sirens of the Crib-being, who, surprisingly, had a striking resemblance to Mom and Grandma Linda. As ME pitched their sails on the Pacifier Sea, they were whisked away into the tranquil waters by 2 siren maidens for some body surfing and underwater exploring. Something about the adventure struck ME as odd: even though the sirens were finless, they certainly had the mesmerizing effect of putting them into a happy-go-lucky trance! Once again, though, their ocean adventure was brought back to reality by Mad when they informed ME that the siren adventure was a figment of their imaginations. According to MaD it was ME’s 1st day at the local pool with Mom and Grandma Linda, which, if true, was quite an adventure nonetheless!

ME’s sails are quickly running out of wind, so before they get stranded on the high seas we better share their final fish tale…
ME’s final adventure took place in the Land of 10,000 Loons (actually Lakes, but ME wanted to make Mad feel more at home!). It began with thunderous cannonades that brought ME to their feet (okay bums, since their sea legs are still a little shaky!) while searching for more prized treasure. As the HMS Pontoon fought through the pirates’ deadly cannonades and as ME fought off the hypnotic spell of the crazy loon sound, which was intended to throw ME off course, they all finally made it ashore with the help of the deckhands for another day of adventure on the high seas! How’d all this end? Yep, you guessed it, Mad have once again dashed the glorious adventure hopes by bursting ME’s bubble with their own story. According to Mad, this final adventure involved ME’s 1st pontoon ride experience at Grandma and Grandpa’s cabin over 4th of July weekend!
