We did it...something big again!

So as of approximately 10 am this morning we are no longer using our pacifiers. We must share the story because one day we will find it funny, though the moment it happened and the entire hour following, laughing about it was the furthest thing from our mind. We apologize to any neighbors who also had their windows open and could hear double doses of high pitched screaming and crying! Look at these sweet faces below...could they behave in such a manner?!?!

Mama was giving Theodore a bath in our bathroom while we were supposed to be wathing TV in Papa and Mama's room. Mama heard the toilet seat go up in their bathroom so knew someone had to go potty, but all of the sudden she heard screaming and crying from both of us. She quickly wrapped Teddy up and met Madelaine in the hallway, running from the bedroom with Eleanor's nuk in hand screaming and crying "It fell in the potty, it is dirty" with Eleanor close behind screaming and crying "Clean it Mama"!!! Ugh, gross and no way, so it was decided they both would go away.

The toughest time is bedtime (or other points in the day when tired or upset) when we request them and are reminded "you are big girls" to which we respond "No, I don't want to be a big girl anymore". But overall we are doing an amazing job and have again made Papa and Mama very proud!

And in case you are wondering, only this last picture was taken since it happened with the other 2 being a couple weeks prior. However, Mama wanted to post happy pictures being we soon will look upon this experience and we will laugh!

Happy 4-months to Teddy!

This past month has brought many changes which at times seem to occur daily. I am rolling onto both sides and extremely close to going onto my tummy. I also pivot on my back and during tummy time I try to use my big toes to push me forward but haven't gained much distance yet.

My 4-month MD stats had me weighing close to 16 pounds and 25 inches long, both putting me in the 75th %.

I love to blow raspberries,"chat", and giggle and especially love to do these things with my big sisters. In fact, I can often be found looking around trying to locate them in a room and when they do come into my vision my face immediately lights up! This really is quite adorable and Papa and Mama need to get this videotaped.

And just to be consistent...yes, everyone still says I am such a good baby!

Lazy summer weekends!

There is something about being home all weekend with nothing going on, and of course nice weather, which makes summer time even more enjoyable. When blessed with this opportunity, we take advantage of staying in our pajamas a bit longer in the morning, letting Papa make breakfast and dinner for us, and find ourselves having much fun together as a family. A few of our favorite activities have included going on bike rides with Papa (note, Eleanor you only made it into the street before you wanted out and exclaimed "Papa needs to go slowly")...
Having fun out on the deck, either with bubbles or our own fireworks display after dinner...

Cooling off outside in our backyard or at the local pool...

As you can imagine, all of this activity wears us out and where better to take a nap than with our Papa...
And you little man, just go with the flow of everything and are as cute as a button...
Papa and Mama would not have considered these weekends pre-children days "lazy" but now they wouldn't trade them for anything...

Happy 3-months to Teddy!

These monthly posts may start sounding like a broken record because I continue to hear that I am such a good baby...but it really is true. I continue to shower those around me with smiles, more cooing sounds with varying pitch and volume, and giggles.

I am fairly consistent at rolling onto my left side and am starting to enjoy playing with (or watching my sisters play with) my toys. The other 2 best things which I have discovered this month are my hands...

And blowing bubbles...Hope everyone is having as fun as summer as I am!

A Grand 4th of July!

We were with family, the weather was out of this world, and a wonderful time was had at the cabin. We think a few of our favorite pictures speak for themselves!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the fun 4th at the cabin!

Happy Papa's Day!

Happy Day to all the Fathers out there and especially to the man in the Gore household known as Papa, Papi, My Daddy, or Father (when Mama says "go ask your Father"). Because we are not quite old enough to type or even put all of our emotions into words, Mama will do her best to summarize. Mama knows we adore our Papa by...

The way we sob in the morning if Papa leaves before we are awake to see him (even though Mama assures us he gave us a goodbye kiss). And then the way we squeal with excitement and happiness when we hear the garage door open and Papa returns home. This also doesn't include the number of times during the day we ask about him, say we saw his car, or Mama's favorite from Madelaine, "My Papa loves me" just out of the blue with a little hip shake and grin.

When home with Papa, we love to climb all over him, we love to be lifted into the air (where only kids with Papa's who are 6'5 can go), and best of all we love to dance with Papa (especially the shake our bumper move). We are constantly giving hugs and kisses to our Papa. Right now Theodore's favorites include snuggle time on Papa's chest (when the rest of us are out of the room) and some conversation time on his own in the early morning or later evening times. However, we know that all too soon Theodore will enjoy joining us in our more wild fun with Papa.
Lastly, one of Mama's favorite things Papa says frequently about us is...they just make it so easy to love them! You make it easy to love you too Papa!

Madelaine, Eleanor, and Theodore (and Mama too)

ME are in LOVE!

We are sure you won't be able to tell by the pictures, so we wanted to share that we are totally and completely in love with our little brother. We have done an excellent job overall in transitioning into the role of being big sisters (per Papa and Mama).

We are often the first to try and respond to our brother's cry and do a wonderful job of giving him his pacifier. We have been very observant of Mama and know how to replicate how she positions Teddy's burp cloth or blanket when in his swing or bouncer seat. We do a great job of trying to "shhh" him if unhappy and also attempt to sing some of the songs we know.

We love to shower him with hugs and kisses. We also are very aware of who is holding him if others are around and do not like them to take him too far out of our sight.

We try to include him in on our play as able and cannot wait for the day when he can sit on his own or better yet walk. We also are thoroughly enjoying his new love of "talking" with us.

We love you Theodore. Thanks for being such a great little brother!
