Will the REAL Bunny please stand up!

Bugs Bunny? Roger Rabbit? Peter Cottontail? So many rabbit choices for our little minds is pretty confusing. With Easter hopping on its way, we thought we’d make an early visit to meet the real Easter Bunny before the big day arrives so we don’t hop down the wrong trail for goodies on our first Easter egg hunt! (Bugs Bunny, as some of you may have SEEN, is known to leave just carrots-yuk!) As you can clearly see (wrong trail, great eyesight=no candy!) we met “The Bunny” while he (or she, but let’s not make this any more confusing than it already is!) was in town. And based on how nice he was, ME thought it was a good idea to get in the good graces of the Easter Bunny with clean diapers and no spit-up to ensure the delivery of some tasty Easter treats! ME would say Operation Easter Bunny was successful and we look forward to the Easter Bunny’s visit on its way…hop pity hop hop! Stay tuned with your rabbit ears and be ready for more pictures and news as the day approaches! All our cottontail love! ME

Kiss ME, We’re IRISH!

Wow, what a yummy bowl of Lucky Charms for breakfast, followed by bangers and mash for lunch, topped off by some corned beef and cabbage for dinner! Dreams o’ plenty are filling our brains even as little babies…oh how lucky we are to have such wonderful dreams foretelling what the future holds for us in Irish culinary delights…someday! Until then, Mommy’s milk will be dyed green today so ME don’t feel left out of today’s festivities!

Mom and Dad created a complaint box to address any concerns ME may have. To date there are no submissions, so there must only be good things to talk about, which we’ll quickly cover. Smiling without teeth (young and old) is just as beautiful as with them, so ME, with their gummy little smiles, have been smiling so much that they light up the room on a regular basis (talk about saving on the electricity bill!). Eleanor has started her own language of speaking with a little sound that we liken to a quiet Elmo. While little peanut Madelaine is choosing her words more carefully, her smiles and giggles are as audible as her sister’s Elmo!

Weight is being packed on, with Eleanor and Madelaine weighing 9 pounds and 8 pounds, respectively. The notches on the door frame have Eleanor registering 21” and Madelaine right below her at 20”. It’s hard work standing up straight and stretching out for Mom and Dad to measure our height, but with a healthy competition between ME already taking shape we don’t want to lose even a centimeter, so we STRETCH, STRETCH, STRETCH! With Saint Patrick’s Day, Easter, and any other celebrations (we’ll find some, whether in the US or abroad!) coming this spring, we’re sure to keep packing on the ounces and inches! In closing, we’d like to wish everyone the best of luck in finding their pot of gold on the other side of their rainbow-especially on St. Patty’s Day! Cheers! Love, Little Leprechauns Madelaine and Eleanor

Happy Two Month Birthday to ME!

Growing, Growing, Gone are the two months since birth…and let ME tell ya we’ve come a long way baby! As big, birthday girls, we’ve found a new game-Peek-a-boo-as you can see that we enjoy playing with Mom and Dad. Working together while firmly placed in a Boppy pillow, we see how far we can climb forward to the top in order to see whoever is watching, before sliding back down to the center of the circular pillow. What makes this game so fun is the ability that we now have of holding our heads upright while lying on our chest. Ms. Eleanor has a little more head control than Ms. Madelaine, but like everything else she’ll be a good little tomato and catch-up soon enough! Mom and Dad failed to mention another accomplishment that ME achieved last week: moving into a new, spacious bathtub!!

Since our return home from the hospital, we have had to bathe in a hospital-issued plastic tub lined with a mesh bench for our twice weekly baths-now we know how sardines feel! Fortunately, with our amazing growth and body control, we graduated to a pink (is there any other color?) tub that gives us room to stretch out while we swing on the mesh hammock. Our furry sisters-Tootsie and Leona-have taken a liking to our bath nights, ensuring that Mom and Dad have the correct water temperature and ideal level of soap suds while thoroughly cleaning our sensitive skin!  Too bad the photo of us isn’t of the scratch-and-sniff variety so you could see how fresh we smell!  With spring on everyone’s mind the thought of the week is: take time to smell the roses with those all around you (and those far away) with hugs and kisses! Love ME
