Getting into the spirit...

Let us start by apologizing for what you will soon find to be a long post. Mama is attempting to get caught up, only likely to fall behind again with Christmas seeming way too close these days! All that is left is Theodore's 8-month post...unbelievable...we just cannot figure out where time is going!!!

We are really into the holiday season this year. We love listening and singing Christmas songs (favorites being Rudolph, Frosty, Joy to the World (E you are really good at belting this one out). We also have enjoyed Christmas movies and recently watched The Polar Express for the first time and loved every minute. Another favorite is Christmas decorations.

To help us get into the spirit we attended the Festival of Trees on Thanksgiving weekend. This was our 3rd trip, Teddy's first, and we all had favorite trees picked out...

I cannot remember exact name of M's but it obviously had a magician theme...

E loved the Rudolph tree, especially Rudolph himself sitting next to the tree

Theodore found all the rubber ducks to be quite entertaining, though he really wanted to put each one in his mouth - no thanks!

Santa was at the event but only Theodore got near, likely because he had no choice being you can see his expression wasn't one of enjoyment...

Next up was getting out the decorations at home. We decided this year we were old enough to have a small tree in our room and have really had fun going to sleep with the lights on. We also have stockings in our room and think Santa should fill these as well as those on the mantle...haha

Theodore providing his input...

The finished project...

After this fun afternoon experience, we decided to just stick with putting up one more tree downstairs (the pre-hinged, pre-lit big tree) and forgo putting up Mama's first big tree which is individual branches, string lights, etc. Maybe next year we will be ready for this!

We were anxious to dive in the next morning and carefully set up our nativity scene, though we still migrate to the more fun breakable ones (Mama recently found a baby Jesus located on top of the manger...I suppose this could have been the case)

We also found some other holiday decorations downstairs and had to wear them around for awhile...if one thing is for sure it is that you can always count on us for a laugh, or 2, or 3!!!

Someone else also enjoys his silly sisters!

Carefully prepping the main tree...

The grand finale tree presentation...Martha Stewart style, Toddler Version x2

Thankfully a little elf came that night and redistributed the bottom row and added some decorations on the top.

Christmas is upon us, except we are really hoping to have some more white stuff. The one and only accumulation we had was a lot of fun but it is already all gone...

And though I didn't make it outside to play, I did think I looked pretty cute with a hat on...

Happy Holidays!

Happy 7-months to Teddy!

I am now an official upright sitter, with the ability to use my hands for fun things such as clapping...a favorite as of lately. Whether to pat-a-cake or while dancing with my sisters (we all LOVE music), my big hands are being put to good use.

I have been drooling a ton this month and have some white bumps on my bottom gum but so far nothing has popped through. Another favorite...eating! I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and often Mama thinks I eat more food than my sisters. The grocery bill will be going up as I continue to grow! Favorite toys are anything that make noise and allow me to bang or spin them.

I continue to be a superstar in the cuddling department and think irresistible could be my middle name!

Love, Theodore

Halloween Fairytale 2011!

Starring the friendly dragon...
And 2 Fairy Princesses...

We again had a little get-together at our house with our cousins. We were kept so busy running to and from the front door handing out candy that going out to other houses didn't even cross our minds...maybe next year.

Fall Fun 2011!

Our blog site may have been quiet this fall but that definitely was not the case for our calendar! In an attempt to highlight some of our favorites from September and October, you just need to look below. Fall 2011 gave us beautiful weather and many fun times as a family!

A day on Grandpa Ken's farm:

Marigold Days Parade:

One last trip to a nearby favorite, Oxbow Zoo:

Some fun in the leaves at the Cabin (for 2 out of the 3 of us anyways!):

One of a couple trips to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch:

A hotel evening get-away for some swimming fun:

Reflecting back on these photos we are feeling the blessings as we enter this season of Thanksgiving! Much love, ME & T

Happy 6-months to Teddy!

Hard to believe I am 1/2 way to the 1 year old marker already! My 6-month MD check up had me weighing 18 1/2 lbs and measuring 27 inches, both between the 75-80th%. This is obviously why I fit easily into 9-12 month clothing...no calling me a little pumpkin!
About 2 weeks after my 5-month birthday I started rolling all over the place. I also pivot all over the place, on both my stomach and back, and do a fairly good job of sticking my bumper up in the air while pulling the blanket when on the floor. My sitting skills are also advancing and I often prefer to be upright when my sisters are sitting by me.

I also love to eat! I continue to enjoy my cereal and also love apple sauce, pears, and peaches. I am not too big of a fan of bananas at the time unless they are blended in a smoothie concoction. My favorite vegetables are peas, squash, and potatoes. Avocados are also a hit. I am not a huge fan of sweet potatoes or green beans but will take a few bites if offered to me.

My hands will grab anything and everything. My poor sister's have learned this the hard way multiple times with their hair...but they will figure it out sooner or later. I continue to be such a wonderful and perfect addition to this family (so I hear) and am very much looking forward to all the holiday celebrations soon upon us!

Happy fall everyone!

Love, Theodore
