We did it...something big again!

So as of approximately 10 am this morning we are no longer using our pacifiers. We must share the story because one day we will find it funny, though the moment it happened and the entire hour following, laughing about it was the furthest thing from our mind. We apologize to any neighbors who also had their windows open and could hear double doses of high pitched screaming and crying! Look at these sweet faces below...could they behave in such a manner?!?!

Mama was giving Theodore a bath in our bathroom while we were supposed to be wathing TV in Papa and Mama's room. Mama heard the toilet seat go up in their bathroom so knew someone had to go potty, but all of the sudden she heard screaming and crying from both of us. She quickly wrapped Teddy up and met Madelaine in the hallway, running from the bedroom with Eleanor's nuk in hand screaming and crying "It fell in the potty, it is dirty" with Eleanor close behind screaming and crying "Clean it Mama"!!! Ugh, gross and no way, so it was decided they both would go away.

The toughest time is bedtime (or other points in the day when tired or upset) when we request them and are reminded "you are big girls" to which we respond "No, I don't want to be a big girl anymore". But overall we are doing an amazing job and have again made Papa and Mama very proud!

And in case you are wondering, only this last picture was taken since it happened with the other 2 being a couple weeks prior. However, Mama wanted to post happy pictures being we soon will look upon this experience and we will laugh!

  1. Hi Stephanie,
I will have to forward this on to Beth. Josiah was 2 in June and they know the the day has to come soon since he is speaking in full sentences, knows his ABC's etc etc and is saying "Mommy I need my bookia(not a clue how it got that name!). When they are old enough to say that it's time to call it quits! Maybe she can "help" it in the toilet since he has no sibling to do it:) I'll let you know how it goes. Oh and by the way all 3 of your little ones are adorable!! Miss you, maybe will run into Nykkole sometime at JM!!!!! can you even believe that?!!?
    Love, Nancy
